Ashley was born 2 months prior to her due date in the same month, and she only weighed 2 lbs 8 oz. For a whole month, she was hospitalized in the ICU. Her parents were told she'd need a heart operation on Christmas Day. The prayers were answered when Ashley's parents visited the hospital on Christmas Day and were told by doctors that her heart had been shut. Ashley did not need any procedure. After 2 months in the hospital, she left with 4 1/2 pounds. Her health has improved since! Her father is of English and German ancestry. Her mother's family from Ireland is where she comes from. Her first appearance as an actor was an advertisement to promote the Salon Surprise Barbie Doll from 2002. Ashley, then 8, was approached by Ford Modeling Agency. She was a steady performer in the print industry and is still with the Agency. She aspired to be an actor from the age of 10. Ashley performed in over 35 commercials. Later, she moved to roles in the theatre. Ashley was now devoted to acting. Ashley concentrated all of her time on acting. That left very little time for modelling and dancing. Ashley is best known for her role as Hannah Marin on ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars. Ashley was a guest appearance in the music video "True love" performed by Romeo Miller, aka Lil Romeo and Solange. Britney was photographed with Ashley in Vogue Magazine. She's part of NLT "That Girl" as well as an music video.
